The Year 1960, which has been called the Year of Independence for the continent of Africa is one of the biggest falsehoods in Africa because the truth is Africa is still largely controlled by Western governments and its multinational corporations. Sad? We know. But, how is this even possible, you may ask? Well, it’s simply through the help of so-called African leaders who do not mind betraying the people whom they ought to lead just because of power and money. And, as we showed you in part one of this video, these African leaders, some of whom are currently in power, are nothing but puppets in the hands of the West, controlled by the strings of power, money, and fear. They sign agreements with the West that ensure that Western policies are implemented in their countries even though these policies are detrimental to the growth of the nation. They loot public funds which keep them in perpetual luxury but leave the masses in poverty. They open their country to Western military bases that were established to spy on their country and they don’t care, do you know why? Because in exchange for land on which the bases will be set up, the West promises the puppet African leader protection. This is the reason why some of these African presidents can stay in power for so long, to the extent that some African countries have had only one or two leaders since Independence.

Yet the West will still openly applaud them for having a stable democracy just because they organize elections – elections that are rigged to their favor. Such hypocrites. If Africa is going to have any chance of improving, these Western puppets in Africa must be kicked out. They must GO Now, with all their footprints thoroughly wiped out from the continent. In part one, we showed you four African puppets of the West. In today’s video we are going to show you more. So who are they?

Number one: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria.
If you have been following Nigerian news, you would be surprised that President Tinubu is on this list because he just became the President of Nigeria, a few months ago. Well, we can tell you with all confidence that this so-called African leader like most of his predecessors deserves to be on this list, and if possible number one on the list. Just like one former Nigerian minister described him, Tinubu is corruption personified, a self-serving African leader, and one of the current strongest puppets of the West. Like every other African leader, Tinubu is not a stranger to power. Before he became president he ruled as Governor of Lagos state between 1999 and 2007 where he grew to become a kingpin and Godfather in Lagos state, appointing those who were loyal to him and replacing them if they turned their backs on him. Throughout his campaign as a presidential candidate, Tinubu would always refer to the times he ruled as Governor of Lagos state, saying that he was the one who developed the state.

But that’s a big lie, he did nothing of such, instead, it was his predecessors and successors who did all the work. In fact, it was during this period that Tinubu accumulated his astounding wealth that nobody seems to know its source. When it comes to wealth, every Nigerian knows that the president is among the richest of the rich politicians and where did he get his wealth from? It couldn’t possibly be from his salary and allowances as Governor of Lagos state. Definitely not. Interestingly he has been charged with numerous cases of corruption but he has always denied and those charges were dropped because there wasn’t enough evidence. But, you know that sort of situation where everybody in a particular community knows that this man is bad but there is not enough concrete evidence because the man has a lot of power to suppress them, it’s the same with Tinubu.

Before he became Governor in 1999, Tinubu was charged by the US with drug trafficking and money laundering, and about $460, 000 was found in his accounts which the US attorney concluded were proceeds made from the sale of drugs. Tinubu of course denied the allegations but do you know what we can infer from this? He started trafficking drugs just before he became Governor of Lagos state. This means he probably financed his entrance as Governor with drug money. But aside from that, what we are concerned about is that after serving his term as Governor of Lagos state, Tinubu acquired so many choice properties in Lagos that were valued at $1 trillion. These properties and businesses include the Ikeja Shopping Mall, Oriental Hotel, Renaissance Hotel, First Nation Airline, Vintage Publications, TVC and so many others. So, where did he get this money from? Obviously, it’s from public funds.

This was revealed in 2018, when Alpa Beta, a consultancy owned by Bola Tinubu, was caught at the center of an N100 billion fraud, tax evasion, and money laundering petition written by Mr. Dapo Apara, its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. According to Mr. Apart, Alpha Beta is an avenue used by corrupt government officials including Tinubu for massive money-laundering schemes, and tax evasion, among other vices.” The company was given exclusive rights to collect taxes on behalf of the Lagos State Government and was believed to receive about 10 percent commission from the revenue it collected for the state. This 10 percent is estimated to be about 40 billion naira every month in 2016. Imagine that. Where do you think the money will be going at the end of the day? If the CEO of a company owned by Tinubu is saying Tinubu is corrupt, then it must be true. And guess what, the court papers stating charges brought against Tinubu, his tax consultancy firm, Alpha Beta Consulting, by Apara were burnt, by hoodlums during the riotous #EndSARS violence in the state. So, again no evidence.

Despite all the allegations against him, Tinubu still became president of Nigeria in an election everybody knew was rigged in his favor after all just like he said it is his turn to rule. Videos were shown about how in some voting centers, hoodlums threatened to fight voters unless they voted for Tinubu, while in others little children in the north who were not eligible to vote were seen voting for the same man. This is the democracy the West is applauding and you know why, Tinubu has agreed to be their puppet. Take a look at the Niger coup for instance, where the President who had just been appointed as leader of ECOWAS decided to prove his loyalty to France and the US by threatening military intervention against a fellow African country. What a shame. Recently, there has been news that the president is set to sign an agreement with the European Union that would allow the acceptance of LGBTQ in Nigeria, something that is against the law. Hopefully, he doesn’t end up signing it but for someone who is looking for the acceptance of the international body, he just might. Anyways, the point is, that President Tinubu is a corrupt, self-serving leader who is a puppet of the West and not good for Nigeria. Already just a few months into his rule as President things are already so hard for the Nigerian masses and the truth is it won’t get better. The only option is for him to Go.

Number two: President Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo
Unlike President Tinubu who just came into power, President Denis Sassou has been ruling Congo for the past 38 years, making him one of the longest-ruling African leaders. Like all the other African leaders on this list, President Denis is a corrupt, self-serving leader who sees the country as his personal business and so he can do whatever he likes. In 2015, he amended the constitution to remove the presidential age limit of 70 because he wanted to continue ruling, and when the election was conducted in 2021, he won. The President won even though many Congolese refused to vote and even those that voted were bribed and cajoled. But that’s just the least of the evidence of his corruption. In 2019, it was revealed by an employee of an oil trading company Guvnor Group, that the President, his wife, son, and a minister received bribes worth more than $15 million to secure Congolese oil deals. As usual, the President denied the allegations and till today nobody knows where the bribes disappeared to.

In 2010, President Sassou-Nguesso himself was reported to have spent over a million US dollars in Paris on designer shirts and suits that he only wore once and then discarded. In September 2019, the tiny Republic of San Marino confiscated US$19 million from bank accounts controlled by the Congolese president following a money laundering investigation. Britain’s Daily Telegraph reported that Mr Sassou-Nguesso, ever the snappy dresser, had used funds from the accounts to spend US$120,000 on crocodile skin shoes. His children have also followed his example of extravagance. In 2017, his daughter Julienne and her husband Guy Johnson were placed under investigation in France for “money laundering and misuse of public funds”, as the authorities sought to identify whether the money used to buy two large residential properties in Paris by the couple had been illegally taken from Congolese public funds. A few months later, Global Witness also revealed how Julienne’s brother, Denis Christel Sassou-Nguesso, “apparently stole over US$50 million of state funds for his personal gain.” The investigators found that he had used a similar arrangement as that used by his sister, Claudia – he received payments in Cyprus through a shell company from the same Brazilian contractor performing public works for the government in Congo-Brazzaville at very high prices. At that time both Denis Christel and Claudia were members of parliament in Brazzaville, and in 2021 Denis-Christel was appointed as a cabinet minister by his father.

This appointment probably means that the president who is not yet ready to leave power is grooming his son to take over from him whenever he is ready. If it does happen it wouldn’t really come as a surprise because other African Presidents for life have done so. A good example is the now-deposed Ali Bongo and his Father Omar Bongo. While President Denis and his family are living in luxury, the people of Congo Brazzaville are living in poverty and fear even though the country is the third-largest producer of oil in Africa. The issue is not even about the length of time he has stayed in office. If he was a good leader who throughout his stay in power focused on elevating the people from poverty, building infrastructure, and raising the standard of living, even the people of Congo would not want him to leave the seat of presidency. But since this is not the case, it’s time for him to GO.

Number three: President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe has been under Western sanctions for the past 20 years and yes, while we can say that those sanctions are inhumane and have caused damage to the Zimbabwean economy, the real problem however of this country is the president and his elites. In every other African country, a puppet of the West is a leader who serves the interest of the West to the detriment of his country in exchange for power and money right? In Zimbabwe, they have another meaning of what it is to be a puppet of the West. For the Zimbabwe President and his cohorts, a puppet of the West is anyone who speaks against the injustice and corruption of the government. When anyone speaks out against the billions of cash looted by government officials, that person is called a puppet of the West. Election observers who speak against the election malpractice and injustice are called puppets of the West by the Zimbabwean government. Can you imagine that?

Since President Emmerson came into power in November 2017, his government has deepened Zimbabwe’s economic struggles, enabled endemic corruption, fuelled instability, and targeted opposition figures, rights activists, and journalists to strike fear into a restive population. It’s ironic that President Emerson lauds himself as an anti-corruption leader who is cracking down heavily on corruption in Zimbabwe, meanwhile, he is the most corrupt in the country. How can a corrupt person reduce corruption in a country? In February, the Daily Maverick published an explosive report accusing the president of enabling corruption and state capture for financial and political gain. “Among others, illicit cross-border financial transactions cost Zimbabwe up to a staggering $3-billion a year and billions in gold and diamonds smuggled out of the country,” the report said. “It is estimated that Zimbabwe may lose up to half the value of its annual GDP of $21.4bn due to corrupt economic activity.” The report concluded that politically connected “cartels” are perpetrating these illicit activities and that President Mnangagwa, despite his public anti-corruption stance, is “one of the cartel bosses whose patronage and protection keeps cartels operating.”

There is athe government approved the eviction of more than 13,000 Shangaan people from their ancestral lands in the Chiredzi Districtthe government approved the eviction of more than 13,000 Shangaan people from their ancestral lands in the Chiredzi Districtlso ample evidence that, despite constantly advertising its support for Black Indigenous farmers, the Mnangagwa government is not doing much to protect them. In fact, the Zimbabwean state continues to grab Black Indigenous-owned farmlands with impunity to this day. In March, for example, the government approved the eviction of more than 13,000 Shangaan people from their ancestral lands in the Chiredzi District to pave the way for lucerne grass farming. The objections of the villagers, supported by many local and international human rights organizations, fell on deaf ears.

President Emmerson says he is working to further democracy and human rights in the country but the reality is starkly different. His government has dragged its feet on implementing human rights provisions in the 2013 constitution. It holds on to draconian and repressive laws and it condones violence by state security, protecting known perpetrators of serious violations. The killing of protesters by the army in August 2018, the violent clampdown on protests by the army and police in January 2019, the banning of protests and beating of protesters in August 2019 and the continuing spate of abductions, torture and, at times, killing of government critics, trade union leaders, opposition officials, satirical comedians and civil society activists clearly point to the relevance of the concern at the government’s continued terrible human rights record. Like the rest of the African leaders on this list, President Emmerson is a power-hungry autocratic leader who doesn’t care one bit about the people of Zimbabwe and if things are to change then there is only one option. He must GO.

President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti
If there is any African leader who is a Western puppet personified, it is President Ismail Omar of Djibouti. They do not have any natural resources but what they do have is large portions of land in a strategic position. The country is internationally renowned as a geologic treasure trove, located at a triple juncture of the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and East African rift system. It also has a port, an important transit and container transshipment seaport. This means it is the perfect place to have a military base and so it’s not a surprise that Djibouti is the only country in Africa that has the highest foreign military bases established in it, including the US, UK, India, France and China. Why would a country willingly accept to have so many foreign military bases set up on its soil if it’s not gaining in return? In exchange for land to set up a military base, the foreign governments pay huge amounts of money for rent and also offer protection, it’s no wonder President Omar has been able to rule Djibouti comfortably without the threat of being ousted from power for the past 24 years.

Omar has been ruling the country of just 900,000 thousand people since 1999 after his uncle Hassan Gouled Aptidon, who groomed him for the job, left power. In the latest election held in 2021, Omar had no opponent other than a family relative who was introduced only to give the impression that there was a real competition underway. His name is Zakaria Ismail Farah, and he was a mere fig leaf on an otherwise pretend exercise. Guelleh and his allies at the Djiboutian electoral commission claim he won with over 97% of the vote. Despite this cham of an election did you hear the western community speak against it? Of course not, they can’t because Omar is an ally. Under President Omar’s regime, human rights and civil liberties are routinely violated, unemployment rate is high, the health system has deteriorated and poverty rate is so high. You may say but Djibouti doesn’t have any natural resources but we can assure you that this hasn’t stopped Omar and his elites from looting public funds.

Like we said earlier, Djibouti has strategic port positions which generate huge incomes from the country. According to President Omar himself, Djibouti reportedly receives $40 million in profits from its port but what is shocking about this statement is that this funding does not appear in the official records for Djibouti’s national budget. Aside from the proceeds from the ports, Djibouti is home to an increasing number of foreign military bases that pay rents and contribute through their soldiers’ expenses to the local economy. It is estimated that Omar autocratic system makes $300 million annually from the foreign military bases including the United States Naval Expeditionary Base Camp Lemonnier. Isn’t this supposed to be enough to take care of the basic needs of a population that is not up to a million people? Of course, it is, but like every other greedy African leader, President Omar has decided to monopolize the resources of the country for himself and his family leaving the masses in poverty and hopelessness. The situation is dire and the only way hope can be revived is for President Omar to Go.

What are your thoughts? How can Africans make these Western puppets in Africa to Go? Is it possible? Let us know in the comment section below. Don’t forget to like, subscription in and share this video.
